I apologize for being incommunicado for the last few days. I’ve been working on a research project for a beverage shop and have been in their stores everyday, researching such interesting segments of consumers called Goal Getters, Active Achievers and Well Beings. I’m back on the script today!
Yesterday, I didn’t have to get up early and wanted to sleep in. At a certain point, I heard a loud rumble. I figured it was an earthquake, as they can be noisy. But the bed was not shaking, so I went back to sleep. I assumed if the sound was life threatening, someone would alert me.
Turns out, the sound was an EXPLOSION. The electrical transformer under the street in front of my house exploded, shattering the manhole cover and sending the pieces in all directions, leaving the shrapnel, smoke and a foul smell all over the street. Apparently the police were there in minutes and a crew arrived to clean it all up.
Yeah, FalloutGirl slept through that.
